Youth Conversations, Panels and Events
Since 2018, we have implemented a variety of youth dialogues, panels and events to provide platforms for youth to share their views and perspectives and connect to different local decision-making spaces, civil society organisations and institutions.
Our biggest event was a 2-day Youth Advocacy Festival with 800+ participants from 3 provinces and 18 civil society organisations, implemented in February 2023 in collaboration with the University of Pretoria.
Most of our events provide an interactive and fun mix match of the following elements:
Youth panel: to showcase the perspectives of our youth
Dialogue spaces: cozy spaces for participants to engage in guided dialogues around different topics of social justice
Civic Market: dynamic and interactive space with stalls hosted by partners showcasing their educational and civil society work
Workshops: variety of educational and skills-development workshops offered by us or by our partners
Commitment wall: for event participants to set intentions for their leadership and civic journeys
